In the past 30 years we have undertaken big projects, several programmes and helped countless families. More recent years have definitely brought significant challenges but we are constantly working to the best of our ability to help those in need, to lighten the load, to make life a little less challenging - be that in Cherven, Gorodishche, several adult institutions, community centres, hospices or families in the community. None of this would have been possible without the continued support from all of you who have shown unwavering commitment to BCP over the years.
For the last couple of years we've had to pause our volunteer programme for various reasons. We have continued to work on projects with the help of our team on the ground but also with your generous support.
What used to be very busy months in the summer have been much quieter for our friends in Gorodishche and Cherven. We would love to celebrate our 30 years by raising some funds and raising some spirits with the return of our "summer holidays" programme. On these holidays, we bring small groups of children and young people to our house lovingly named 'Dom Zara' in Minsk for a weeks respite from the orphanage where they get to experience some down time but also embark on exciting excursions to some of their favourite spots such as the zoo, circus, aquarium and of course - McDonalds!
We are grateful for all your support. We're hopeful that we could run a few of these holidays over summer and in to autumn.
If you can, please donate what you can by clicking the button below. All donations are processed securely and will go directly to this summer project. If you are not in a position to donate, you can also share this page. This is a great way to help spread the word. Many Thanks for your continued support. It is with great sadness we said goodbye to Teresa Flynn this week. It's impossible to fully describe the enormity of change this lady inspired in the world. She viewed and treated everyone exactly the same regardless of race, colour or creed. Many of you would have heard the tales of Teresa and her Sergei, how she cared for him for years in both Ireland and Belarus.
Our deepest sympathies to Teresa's family and wide circle of friends. Br. Liam has shared some lovely stories, and memories below.
