The sun was shining and the spirits were high.
It was another fantastic day. With a record 120 swimmers taking to the water to swim with Pat on this his 50th Lahinch to Liscannor swim. ( So many that we ran out of medals!) - Please do contact us if you didn't receive yours.
Now with the last of the pennies counted we can confirm that this year the swim has raised an incredible €30,000!!! We are absolutely blown away by this and thank each and every one of you who contributed, a special mention to Niamh for organising the raffle and to all the local businesses who sponsored the prizes!
This money is vital to the continuation of so many of our projects. Covid has inhibited many of our fundraising opportunities of late so these funds really will go toward important life enhancing work in the orphanages and in the communities we support.
To mark this milestone of Pats, he was presented with a plaque that will be placed on the prom in Lahinch in recognition of his commitment to several charities over the years.
Our sincerest gratitude to all involved in every capacity in the lead up to and on the day of the swim. To our bucket shakers, the lifeguards, all those out on the water in boats, boards, kayaks and jet skis keeping our swimmers safe, our helpers in Liscannor who handed out some much needed fuel to the swimmers, the supporters, the swimmers and so many many more.
Thank you all, here's to next year!
