Saturday, September 21st was another busy morning in Ennistymon. With the threat of rain to come during the day we got off to an early start to load truck 112. With added paperwork the day could have been tedious but the high spirits of everyone and eagerness to get stuck in made light work of the whole process. |
The momentum of this group had the truck loaded in record time, we even managed to escape the rain! Full to the brim with clothes, pampers, wheelchairs and mobility aids this shipment will arrive soon in Belarus and make many lives a little easier coming into the colder months.
Special thanks to St. Clare's School in Ennis for kindly donating lots of fantastic children's wheelchairs, to Mary King, a regular donor of goods for donating an electric wheelchair, to Betty Crosbie in Killarney for all the pampers and clothes. A big thank you to Seán for delivering a customised wheelchair for Sveta, a young girl in Cherven Orphanage, hours of hard work and expertise went into this chair and we know she'll be so excited and life will be a little bit more comfortable for her now.
Last but most certainly not least, to Therese Smith for her famous eclairs (we're told they're the reason some travelled from Cork!) they are what we all look forward to after every load!
To everyone who donated goods or helped load on the day, thank you!!
Go riabh míle maith agaibh.
Спасибо вам всем!

**Please note we are no longer able to accept toy donations. However pampers (adult and child) and clean clothes are still greatly needed.
Thank you for understanding.
