Unfortunately our fundraising opportunities have been severely affected by Covid in the past 15 months. Last year you all answered the call for help without hesitation when the threat of Covid was at its greatest. This year, we have a new fundraising idea. We think it will be a great success but we really need your help!
We have had to defer all volunteer trips and CARE Camps for another year. The loss of these camps last year was felt by all involved but in an insurmountable way for the children and young adults of Gorodishche and Cherven. That is why we are launching our new fundraising idea “Strive for Five” that will connect our volunteers and supporters in Ireland with our friends in Belarus.
Strive for Five is a challenge that we hope will benefit us all in improving our mental and physical health. Whether it’s a run, walk, cycle, swim, skip, hop or a jump.. we encourage and invite you to exercise for 5 minutes a day for the next 5 weeks. Who knows, 5 could lead to 15 or 30 minutes, it’s up to you!
One of the best parts of this challenge is that the children and young people in Gorodishche and Cherven are going to take part too! With their individual group quarantines lifting and the weather improving, it’s the perfect opportunity to get out and get moving :)
Because of the current climate, we are in need of funds to carry out several projects across Belarus this year. With the absence of our volunteers we hope that money raised will help towards projects in Cherven and Gorodishche that will bring a smile to all of our special friends this summer.
Follow the link below for our iDonate page. All donations of €10 or more will give you entry into a draw for a very special prize to be announced very soon.
