This means all trips due to take place this spring and summer are now cancelled.
Thank you to those who have contacted us expressing concern at possibly bringing the virus into the vulnerable children and adults. We understand this is a huge disappointment for all our volunteers, even more so for all the children and adults affected in Belarus. However their health and wellbeing - and yours are of the utmost importance.
Through fundraising and volunteer trips we would normally supply food supplements, medicines, health-care products, nappies, incontinence pads etc. for the children and adults. Unfortunately with all of our trips cancelled this will be a significant challenge. We endeavour to do our best to continue to support the orphanages and also approximately two thousand older people in adult asylums with these matters over the coming months.
Volunteers who have raised funds ahead of your trips or supporters who wish to help us keep the Care Camp activities going, we would be grateful for your help with this.
There are two simple options for making a donation:
You can lodge your donation directly to the following bank account: Euro zone lodgements attract no fee. (please leave your name in the narrative)
Bank of Ireland: Ennistymon, Co Clare
IBAN No: IE61 BOFI 9042 2924 6894 55
BIC No: BOFIIE2D
Alternatively you can make a donation via a secure link on iDonate.ie here
Another thing to note is that because of restrictions and recommendations to practice social distancing and also due to lack of space, we can not accept any clothes or physical goods donations for the coming months. We ask you to please respect this and we will inform you when this changes.
We will keep you updated on any developments in the short or long term.
Thank you for your support. And we hope and pray matters will return to normal in the months ahead in Belarus and back home here in Ireland.
With best wishes for your own safety and well being,
Liam O’Meara
Director
