Pilot Reusable Nappy ProgrammeThe price of disposable nappies is now currently higher in Belarus than in Ireland while the average wage remains a quarter of what we earn. We are appealing to any body with second hand re-usable nappies or nappy covers, especially in larger sizes, to please help out by donating those which they no longer need. The nappies will be going to two different projects: *In Cherven's children's orphanage there are many bedridden children with severe disabilities from the ages of 5 to sometimes 30 years of age. For those parents and single mothers in the community who have children with special needs or severe disabilities who are nappy dependant this is a huge financial burden. We wish to encourage and help those parents especially who are striving to keep their children at home, rather than an orphanage, despite the the lack of support or facilities for them in the community.
